The Mouth wishes to thank Michael Del Zotto for being the first Ranger teenage defenseman to score a goal since Mario Marios did it during the Carter administration.

MDZ as the kids call him, did it in only his second NHL game and his first as a Ranger at Madison Square Garden.

The goal is also a great example of teamwork as the entire unit of Five touched the puck before Del Zotto put his first NHL biscuit into Senator’s goalie Pascal Leclaire’s basket.

  1. Del Zotto must stay. He's already the best passer on the team and looks in control as a point man on the PP. Needs to get better defensively, but he's not going to learn that in JR.

  2. That's a fantastic point. he needs to shore up his defense against NHL caliber play. I gotta tell you Kots with all these young defensive forwards rushing up ice my hearts in my throat half the time, but its damn exciting.

  3. Same thing we said last night, the only way to learn how to play defense in the NHL is to play in the NHL. Great stuff Mouth, will be tuned in tonight....Curtains, meyyaaah seee?

  4. haha cant wait to chat curtains bit is hysterical and a winner !
